Vendakkai Poriyal

Ingredients:
·         ½ lbs Vendakkai (Okra) chopped in to medium thickness
·         1 Medium sized Onion
·         1 tbs Chilli powder
·         1 tbs Rice flour
·         1 tsp Mustard  seeds
·         1 tsp Urad dal
·         Salt to taste
·         1 tbs Oil
Preparation:
·       In a wide bottomed pan, heat oil, add mustard seeds, onion and sauté till the onions turn light brown.
·       Add the Vendakkai (okra), chilli powder, rice flour, salt and leave it in medium heat for 5 minutes.
·       Give a constant stir and when the vendakkai (okra) becomes non sticky, crispy and well-cooked turn off the heat.
·       Check for the salt.
·       Tasty vendakkai (okra) poriyal is ready to serve with Sambar & rice / Rasam & rice.
(Note: Rice flour helps in reducing the stickiness of the vendakkai/okra)
