Ingredients:
· 2 cups Maida/All-purpose flour
· 2 tbs Yogurt
· ¼ cup Butter
· 1 cup warm Milk
· ¼ tsp. Baking Soda
· Salt to taste
· 2 tbs Oil
· Shredded Pizza Cheese
· Chunks of Pineapple
· Little chopped Onion
· Little diced Tomatoes
· Tomato ketchup
· Olive Oil
Preparation:
Making Naan:
· In a bowl, take the flour, yogurt, butter, baking soda, salt, oil and mix it together.
· Add the warm milk little by little and knead the dough until it forms soft and non-sticky dough.
· Add little oil and knead the dough few more times cover the dough with a wet towel and keep it covered for 5 – 6 hours.
· Divide the dough into small portions and roll each portion into a small ball.
· On a lightly floured surface place a dough ball and roll it into flat & triangular shapes using a rolling pin.
· Heat a flat skillet in medium heat, place the uncooked Naan and cook until the bottom side turns colour and puffs on the upper side now flip it gently press the Naan to puff and cook until we get the brown spots.
· Cook the remaining dough as the above.
Making Naan Pizza:
· Take the cooked Naan, give a coating of olive oil and tomato ketchup.
· Sprinkle a layer of shredded pizza cheese mix.
· Now you can have your choice of toppings like pineapple/onion/tomato/spinach on the top and cover with cheeses.
· Preheat the oven for 400 degrees F.
· Bake the Naan pizza on an oven rack for 8 minutes or until the cheese has melted.
· Let the Naan pizza cool for 5 minutes then slice and serve.
(Note: We can make fresh Naan or we can use store bought Naan to make pizza)
