Kollu Podi

Ingredients:

·         1 cup Kollu (Horsegram)
·         ½ cup Urad Dal (Blackgram)
·         4 to 6 Red chillies
·         Few Curry Leaves
·         Few sprinkles of Asafoetida
·         Salt to taste
·         Oil

Preparation:


·       In a flat pan, take kollu (horsegram) and urad dal and dry roast it till the grams change colour and remove it from the pan and keep it aside to cool.
·       In a pan, heat little oil, fry the red chillies and curry leaves for few minutes and keep it aside to cool.
·       In a blender take all the roasted and fried ingredients, add a sprinkle of asafoetida, salt and grind it into a fine powder.
·       Tasty Kollu podi is ready to serve with hot rice.
·       We can also use the Kollu podi to make Kollu rasam.
